John "Johnny" Gallagher is Scarlett O'Hara's foreman who manages her mills and the convicts who work there. She initially hires him because, like her, he is Irish and he books results. He is unscrupulous and treats the convict laborers horribly, giving them less food with the money Scarlett gives him for that purpose. But he makes money and is Irish so Scarlett keeps him around, although she does punish his actions with a lower salary.
He was played by J.M. Kerrigan.
