David Newell (1905-1980) was an American actor and make-up specialist, who portrayed Cade Calvert in Gone With the Wind (1939). He appeared very briefly, in the Barbecue scene. Supporting actor of stage and screen. He suffered disfigurement in an auto accident and consequently changed career paths, becoming a motion picture and television make-up artist until his retirement in 1967.
