Biography[]

Beau was born in his great-aunt Pittypat Hamilton's house in Atlanta, Georgia on September 2, 1864. Shortly after his birth, which was performed by his aunt Scarlett O'Hara and her slave Prissy, he was taken to Tara where he stayed for a few years, and was reunited with his father, when he returned from war.

After his father got half of his aunt Scarlett's lumber business, they could finally afford a house of their own in Atlanta. Here, he was very popular with the other children, though he always had a special bond with his cousin Wade Hamilton. He was proposed as a future husband for Bonnie Butler, until her tragic death.

When he was eight, his mother tragically died after a miscarriage, which left him very upset.
